Leading Aircraftman Sinclair was one of two airmen killed in the crash of their Tiger Moth (#4058) aircraft. Sergeant Kenneth O'Dell PIPER also died in this aircraft accident.

Son Maude (née Sommervillle or Burton) Sinclair of Edmonton, Alberta, and son of the late Walter George Sinclair [both parents born in England; his father had served in the Canadian Expeditionary Force during the First World War--Regimental Number: 437833--and had served in Canada, in England and in France].

Leading Aircraftman John Thomas Sinclair is commemorated on Page 18 of Canada's Second World War Book of Remembrance.
